The Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum stands as a powerful tribute to the 168 lives lost and all those affected by the April 19, 1995 bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building. The Lexington Assessment and Reception Center (LARC) in Oklahoma is a state operated correctional facility primarily focused on processing and evaluating inmates entering the state prison system. During a tour of the facility, visitors learn about the intake process, including medical screenings, psychological evaluations, and classification procedures to determine appropriate levels and housing for inmates. The tour offers a glimpse into the daily operations and challenges of managing new arrivals in the prison system.
The Skills Centers School System of the Oklahoma Department of Career and Technology Education is committed to providing quality training to inmates of the Lexington Assessment and Reception Center (LARC) in Lexington, Oklahoma. Providing Training in Cabinetmaking, Metal Fabrication/Refurbishing, Licensed Trades, CEU Code Update. Inmates are encouraged to attain their GED while in the program.

The Skills Centers School System of the Oklahoma Department of Career and Technology Education is committed to providing quality training to female offenders located at Mabel Bassett and Dr. Eddie Warrior Corrections Centers. To this end, career majors are offered in industries that will enable students to obtain gainful employment upon release from incarceration. Along with the occupational training, these programs provide life and employability skills development, Key Train remediation, and the ACT Work Keys assessment. The Work Keys assessment offers students an opportunity to earn an industry-recognized Career Readiness Certificate.
The Mabel Bassett Correctional Center in Oklahoma is a state facility for female inmates, offering a closer look at the programs designed for rehabilitation and reentry. The institution houses minimum, medium, and maximum security inmates and serves as the reception center for all females incarcerated in Oklahoma.

Metro Technology Centers is a career and technology center with four campuses. The school was established in 1979 by a vote of the people to serve Oklahoma City in providing career and technology education (CTE).
Metro Tech provides full-time career majors for high school and adult students. High school students receive credit toward high school graduation. Both student groups can earn trade certifications and/or licenses.
Short-term adult and career development (ACD) courses can be 1 to 100 hours on any subject where a need has been identified. Customized courses are provided to promote personal, economic and organizational development for industry-specific training and development (ITD) clients.
Other services provided by Metro Tech include career and business counseling, assessment, financial aid, employment services, computerized academic centers including ESL (English as a Second Language), child care, disability services and bus transportation.

This tour will be highlighting the programs Basic Peace Officer Certification, Aviation Maintenance Technology, Cosmotology, and our Nursing/Physical Therapy pathways designed to prepare students for in-demand careers. Visitors will explore the Cosmotology program, featuring modern salons where students gain hands-on experience in hairstyling, skincare, and nail care. The Aviation Maintenance program offers a glimpse into labs where future technicians learn to maintain and repair aircraft. The Basic Peace Officer Training program demonstrates rigorous law enforcement preparation, including practical skills and scenario-based training. Additionally, the Nursing and Physical Therapy programs showcase state of the art medical labs were students develop clinical skills essential for healthcare careers.
